My Favorite Food and Supplements

I add this Organic Superfood powder to my smoothies and açaí bowls. This is the original version meaning it doesn’t really have a flavor. I prefer to add my flavors with fruit or powders like cacao. It’s a great way to get in extra nutrients easily!

This is the same Organic Superfood in berry flavor. I prefer to add my flavors with fruit or powders like cacao, but if you love this and want an easy way to get extra nutrients, go for it!

Amla powder is the amla berry from India in a powder form. It is a superfood and easy to add to smoothies.

Another superfood is Maca powder. Add to smoothies, coffee, healthy hot cocoa, or baking.

I add this to my daily superfood smoothie. I’ve also added it to my coffee and healthy hot cocoa. It includes 10 different mushrooms all with amazing benefits,

I take Turkey Tail Mushroom daily as part of my healing from cancer journey.

Chia seeds are a great form of protein, omega 3s, and fiber. I add them to my superfood smoothies, açaí bowls, granola, and on top of my almond butter toast.

This is real organic cacao powder. It is a good source of magnesium, and antioxidants. I use it in smoothies, açaí bowls, healthy hot cocoa, coffee, and baking. This is different from cocoa but can be used in place of cocoa.

This is another favorite mushroom blend which is great for fighting inflammation. I add it to my smoothies and acai bowls, and my healthy hot cocoa.

Turmeric is a great food to have in your diet to fight inflammation, chronic illness, and cancer. If you can’t eat enough of the turmeric root, try supplementing with these capsules. I take this higher dosage of Turmeric daily as part of my healing from cancer journey.

Flaxseed is a great form of protein, omega 3s, and helps with hormones. I add it to smoothies, salads, granola and even on top of my almond butter toast.

Flaxseed is a great form of protein, omega 3s, and helps with hormones. Ground flaxseed is easier for the body to digest and is great for throwing in baked goods, smoothies, and oatmeal.

Turmeric is a great food to have in your diet to fight inflammation, chronic illness, and cancer. If you can’t eat enough of the turmeric root, try supplementing with these capsules. During my healing journey I had taken 2250 mg, but this lower dosage is good for prevention.

Matcha is now a fairly popular drink, usually sold as a latte at cafes. Matcha is green tea but is different from green tea in teabags. Match is the whole leaf ground up. Ceremonial grade matcha powder makes amazing matcha lattes. Culinary matcha is better for baking or smoothies. You want ceremonial grade if you are drinking it straight. Matcha is a little earthy and may take a little getting used to but it is so good for the body that it’s worth it. Mix with hot water for traditional tea. Mix with non-dairy milk and sweeten with honey.

Golden milk is another great powder for lattes. Turmeric root, ashwagandha, cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom are a few of the ingredients. Mix with non-dairy milk. Sweeten with honey.

Like many people I was addicted to coffee. What I learned was that caffeine not very good for the body, especially the nervous system. I’ve also found that drinking coffee dehydrates me and often wreaks havoc on my digestive system. While I still enjoy a cup of organic decaf coffee a few times a week, my go to hot drink is now Roasted Dandelion Root tea. It’s the closest I have found to coffee with a dark, rich taste. And it actually helps with detox and digestion! I usually drink it black in the morning so I can continue my fast longer, but it can be sweetened with honey or maple syrup.

Green tea is a power house of nutrition and many studies have shown its positive effects on healing from cancer, especially breast cancer. During my healing journey I even supplemented with green tea capsules because I would need to be drinking 5-6 cups of green tea a day, which was a lot for me. This is my go to green tea for hot tea, iced tea sweetened lightly with honey, and for my home brewed kombucha. Also look for match powder (also on this page) which is green tea in its whole form.

I use organic black tea when I brew kombucha at home. To make kombucha you add a SCOBY to sugar sweetened tea. Sometimes I use only black tea, sometimes I add green tea as well. Uncle Lee’s is my go-to.
